I natten mellan lördagen och söndagen 13-14 oktober drabbades webhotellet som forumet ligger på av ett allvarligt fel. I början så kunde man komma åt forumet sporadiskt, men efter ett tag så låg det nere helt och har gjort det ända tills nu.

När dom första problemen var lösta så monterades hårddiskarna i ett läge där det endast var möjligt att läsa, men då forumet även kräver skrivmöjligheter för vissa saker så möttes ni besökare av ett meddelande om "Allmänt fel" och några obskyra felkoder. Eftersom diskarna var skrivskyddade kunde jag tyvärr inte ens komma åt att ändra förstasidan för att på så sätt informera er användare om vad som hänt, så jag förstår att många har undrat vad som hänt med forumet.

Men nu är vi tillbaka igen och ingenting av vad som skrivits här har gått förlorat. Fast i skrivandes stund går allting med snigelfart, men det kommer förhoppningsvis att rätta till sig inom kort.

För den intresserade så återfinns nedan den löpande information som webhotellet själva har lagt ut om felet.
Status - Den 16 oktober 2012 14:29 CET
The file system is now online and is running normally again. We are monitoring the file system very closely the next couple of hours. In case of any instability we might be forced to make one additional and last file repair job. We will keep you updated.

The last affected file system is still in read-only mode. We still assume that the repair job will be finished around 15.00hrs CEST.

In order to inform all affected customers the best way possible, we have uploaded a preliminary detailed report of the events that have happened since October 14th 03.30 CET.

Status - Den 16 oktober 2012 08:52 CET
The last affected file system is still in read-only mode. We have been working around the clock on getting the file system repaired. Progress is being made which is why we are not restoring from backup.

Time estimations have previously been very difficult for us to give, but we assume that the file system repair job will be finished around 15:00hrs CEST.

The file system which is in read-only mode will stay read-only until tomorrow.

We are working close together with our storage vendor to get the file system read/write online as soon as possible.

Finally - file system repair job has been completed. The file system is online and is running normally again. No data has been lost.

The other file system is in read-only mode.

Status remains the same as in the previous update. Even though that we were assuming the system repair job to be completed, sadly it is taking much longer time than expected.

However we can see that progress is being made and we will update this page again at 18:00hrs CEST.

Status - Den 15 oktober 2012 13:28 CET
One file system is back online in read-only mode. File system repair job is running simultaneously. This file system will first be in read/write mode tomorrow morning CET when the file system repair job is finished. Again we fully understand the inconvenience this situation is creating to our customers.

Regarding the second file system repair job is still running. Unfortunately we are not able to provide more information. The file repair job has taken longer time than expected and the only information that we have available now is that the job will soon be completed.

Status - Den 15 oktober 2012 11:31 CET
The file system which we have had issues with since Sunday morning European time is expected to come online soon. It is very difficult for us to give estimates but we are running last step in our file system repair job and therefore hope to be able to go online very soon with that file system.

The other file system which came offline this morning will be online in a read only version from our backup site within the next 30 min, the first customers on this file system is already online.

We are very sorry for the situation and we are working as fast as possible to get the 2 file systems up and running. We have to wait until 11.45hrs CET to be able to give a new status.

File system checks is still running, 5% of our customers are therefore still affected. We estimate that there are 3-4 hours back before we can go online.

We have found an issue on another file system also, which also are serving around 5% of our customer’s websites. We will on this file system mount the customer directories read-only from the backup file system, which allow all non-write dependent website pages to work while we are repairing the file system.

We are close to have the rest of the system up and running again, but we have to run some disk checks on the affected disk system before we can go online. The estimated time for the disk checks is 2 hours.

Cloud Drive and website hosting was affected.

Cloud Drive is running normally again. 95% of the affected websites is also running normally again.

Central System - Den 14 oktober 2012 03:30 CET
We experience problems with our central system affecting a number of our customers.

As a result error messages, time-outs or blank pages may occur when attempting to access some web pages, and errors may occur when attmpting to read e-mails.

No data will be lost due to this issue.
